Police are working to piece together the final movements of a man whose body was found in the grounds of a school in Glasgow.
Andrew McEwan, 35, was found dead within the grounds of a primary school near Tarfside Gardens in Cardonald at around 12.30pm on Tuesday.
Officers are treating his death as unexplained and said a post-mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
They are appealing for anyone who knew Mr McEwan, of Highfield Place in Kelvindale, to contact them.
Detective Inspector Peter Sharp, of Govan police office, said: “We do not yet know what has caused the death of Mr McEwan and therefore we are trying to piece together his movements up until his body was found.
“Officers are currently trying to get in touch with anyone who knew of him to try to establish when he was last seen and we would ask anyone who has any information about him to come forward.”
Inspector Kevin Lammie, of Govan police office, said: “We have increased our high-visibility uniformed patrols in the Cardonald area to help reassure members of the public.
“There is nothing to suggest any wider issues, however, I would urge anyone with any concerns to contact their local police office or speak to any of the officers in the area.”
Anyone with any information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1528 of Tuesday.
