A-level and GCSE students in Barrow could receive their results in July this year, one month earlier than usual.
Education secretary Gavin Williamson and the Department for Education have confirmed that this year’s results will be decided by teacher assessment, after GCSE and A-level assessments were cancelled for a second year in a row.
It is now understood that results day will now be moved forward to July to allow pupils extra time for appeals and adding more time before the start of the university term.
