UNSAFE goal posts at Milnthorpe & District Youth FC are to be replaced thanks to a £2,248 grant from the Football Foundation.
The Football Foundation is the largest sports charity in the UK funded by the Premier League, The FA and Government (via Sport England).
It funds the development of new and refurbished grassroots sports facilities improving the quality and experience of playing sport at the grassroots level to sustain and increase participation and improve general skills levels.
South Lakes MP Tim Farron, who lives in Milnthorpe, said: "I know that the team is at the heart of community life in our village and I’m delighted that they have been given this grant to improve facilities for young people in Milnthorpe.”
