KENDAL Ladies lost 4-0 at promotion chasing Brooklands Poynton.
"We played really well for the first quarter of the game and matched their level of play," said goalkeeper Fiona Battersby.
"Unfortunately they played more tactically and were awarded goals because of it. We lost our composure for the remainder of the game with players sent off too.
"We’re putting this game behind us and had a really positive training session Monday night."
They now host Sutton Coldfield on Saturday.
Kendal's second team, meanwhile, won 4-1 against Dalston.
