KENDAL Waterpolo Club were a splash hit in the first game of the season in the North Lancashire League thanks to a convincing win over Blackpool.
Kendal gave debuts to four new players - Noel Howson, Max Edgecombe, Nick Carlton and Harry Denney - and led 2-1 att the end of the first quarter thanks to goals from Mathew Little and head coach Marc Robinson.
In the second quarter, Kendal used their experience to take a firm grip on the contest, opening up a 6-1 lead with Robinson, Denney, Little and Edgecombe all scoring.
In the second half of the game, Blackpool came back into the game but Kendal raced away with the win thanks to further goals Denney, Carlton, Little, Alex Armstrong and a hat-trick from Howson.
