IT HAS been another highly successful season for Heversham Tennis Club - with three of their teams claiming titles.
In the Kendal and District Tennis League, Heversham Ladies first team held off strong challenges from Slyne and Lancaster to clinch the title for an impressive third year in succession.
Not to be outdone, Heversham Ladies third team won the title in the Lancaster and Morecambe League for the first time, having been runners-up last year.
In the Men's Division 1, Heversham's first team were involved in a close finish for the title with Slyne, but prevailed narrowly by 2.5 points, meaning they have now won the title for eight years in a row and next year will be looking to equal the record of nine consecutive titles set by Wanderers in the 1990s.
