IN form Netherfield Seconds made it three wins in a row after an emphatic 9 wicket win against Vernon Carus Seconds at Parkside Road.
Bertie Medhurst's return of 5-16 and Theo Gallagher’s 4-4 saw the visitors bowled out for 90 off 35.1 overs.
And in reply, Netherfield raced to victory through Finlay Richardson's undefeated 58 off 23 balls as they passed the Vernons total after just eight overs and for the loss of just one wicket.
Kendal’s second team game at Morecambe was rained off with the Shap Road men in a good position.
Joel Creech’s undefeated 79 saw Morecambe close on 139-6 off 40 overs, with Oliver Dawson and David Batty claiming 2 wickets apiece.
Kendal must have been confident of passing that score but they could only get two overs in before the weather intervened and no further play was possible.
Netherfield Seconds travel to play Leyland on Saturday while Kendal host Longridge Seconds at Shap Road before travelling to play Fulwood & Broughton Seconds on Sunday in the Loxham Cup.
