HOLME A continue to lead the way at the top of Division One of the Kendal and District Bowling League after a resounding 8-2 victory at Hale A.
Daniel Varcoe and Mark Ashburn picked up the best results for the league leaders, each claiming resounding 21-4 wins over Mike Robinson and Norman Macleod respectively.
In the other matches, Matthew Stewart defeated Mike Proctor 21-13, Stephen Ashburn saw off Ian France while Liam Baxter edged out Dave Kent 21-16.
Hale’s solitary points came from Billy Caldwell, who picked up the best result for the hosts after winning 21-15 against Gavin Whitehead, and Jonny Richardson, who battled past Callum Baxter.
Victoria A remain second in the table after they pulled off an impressive 8-2 victory at Staveley A.
Victoria B and Windermere A both picked up respective 7-3 victories against Burneside A and Netherfield A.
And in the final top flight game, Holme B saw off Burton A 8-2 and Levens A beat Lindale A by the same scoreline.
In Division Two, Burton B claimed two wins in two days, defeating Crosthwaite A 7-3 on Tuesday evening before they edged out Ambleside A 6-4 on Thursday, while Windermere B saw off Abbot Hall A 9-1.
Netherfield C defeated Ambleside A 8-2 on Thursday night, and Netherfield B and Ambleside B both claimed respective 7-3 victories over Allithwaite A and Subscription A.
Victoria C are 8 points clear at the top of Division Three after they defeated Lower Holker A 7-3.
Elsewhere in that division, Arnside A won 6-4 at Allithwaite C, Milnthorpe A eased past Endmoor A 8-2 and Heversham A held onto defeat Allithwaite B 6-4.
In the final games, Ingleborough A picked up a 7-3 victory against Windermere C while Sedbergh won 8-2 over Holme C.
Burneside B edged two points clear at the top of Division Four when they defeated Lower Holker B 7-3, while in the other games Subscription B won 6-4 at Langdale, Victoria D defeated Abbot Hall B 8-2 and Lindale B won by the same scoreline against Netherfield D.
Bowness A rounded off the night with a crucial 7-3 victory against Arnside B.
Levens C, Windermere D, Kirkby Lonsdale B, Holme D and Staveley B all claimed important wins in Division Five.
In Division Six, the stand out result saw Silverdale win 7-3 at Subscription D.
Meanwhile Ambleside C, Burton in Lonsdale, Allithwaite D, Sedbergh B and Bowness B were also victorious to round off a fine week of bowling action.
