SHARP shooter John Whittaker put in a stunning performance to win seven of the eight individual match gold medals in the Original Class at the Muzzle Loading Long Range Championships at the NRA ranges Bisley, Surrey.
A total of 69 competitors from 12 countries including New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and the USA took part in the event that was shot at five distances from 300 yards to 1,000 yards.
And the Kendal Rifle Club member, who was shooting a target rifle made by George Gibbs of Bristol in the mid-1860s, dominated the event, where he also acted as match director.
