THE chances of Mark Wilson making the starting line up for England's Rugby Union World Cup quarter final against Australia on Saturday appeared to be receding this week.
The former Kirkbie Kendal School pupil, 30, looked set for a full game in the closing pool game against France last Saturday, only for the game to be cancelled due to the approach of Typhoon Hagibis.
And with regular No8 Billy Vunipola looking likely to be declared fit after recovering from injury, it is looking increasingly likely a place on the bench is the best the ex-Penrith and Kendal player can hope for on Saturday.
