AS the midway point of the tennis season swings by the leagues are starting to kick into shape.

Plenty of tennis took place despite the abundance of rain causing a few cancellations and a notable moment of the Ladies 1 division saw league leaders Heversham ladies team have their four match winning streak broken by Lancaster on Monday.

With Kendal vs North Lonsdale being cancelled last Wednesday, the only other action was Heversham's 8-0 win over Bowerham on June 21.

Lancaster A were also in good form on the same night in the Mens 1 division with an 8-1 win over Windermere.

Kendal A went 4-4 at home to Kirkby Lonsdale on last Monday but fell short against Arnside 4-5 in a razor close match up on a surface that took the Kendal lot a while to get used to.

Kirkby Lonsdale vs Coniston and Endmoor vs Lunesdale on Monday both ended 4-4.

Coniston currently lead both the Men’s 2 and the Mixed 1 divisions. Elsewhere Lancaster A are at the top of the Men’s 1 division and Bowerham lead Men’s 3 despite a recent draw to Kendal B. Lancaster are storming ahead in the Mixed 2 division thanks to their six match unbeaten streak.
