ATHLETES from Kendal Amateur Athletic Club put in a great performance at the Cumbria County Athletics Championships.

Held at Furness Academy in Barrow, the group lifted the David Harper Tarr Memorial Trophy for the first-placed team. Athletes from under-11s through to veterans took part in the event. Many were competing for the first time. 

Notable individual performances were as follows:

  • Kira Jones Gold U17 Women 200m, 80m Hurdles, Long jump.
  • Joshua Todd Gold U17 Men 400m, Silver U17 Men 800m
  • Vicky Woof Gold U17 Women high jump
  • Harvey Shaw Gold U15 Boys 800m
  • Emmy Ranner Gold U13 Girls 800m, Silver 100m, Silver 200m
  • Isla Jebb Gold U13 Girls 1500m
  • Lili Guthrie Gold U13 Girls 200m, 70m hurdles and long jump
  • Charlie Hodgson Gold U11 Boys 75m, Bronze 600m
  • Dallas Machell Gold U11 Boys 600m and Silver long jump
  • Joss Jebb Gold U11 Boys long jump
  • David Barlow Silver Senior Men 100m
  • Stuart McGurk Silver Senior Men 1500m
  • William Ladell Silver U15 Boys 100m
  • Anna Cobley Silver U15 Girls 800m and Bronze 300m
