ROYAL Windermere Yacht Club members AlastairRose and David Hynes enjoyed success at the GP14 National Championships atPwllheli in North Wales.
With Alastair at the helm of thefamily boat Bumbling Bee and David as crew, the pair finished fifthoverall, the best RWYC result in the championships sinceC.H.D.
Acland won in the early years of theevent.
Alastair, who is captain of the Cambridge UniversitySC, counted second, third, sixth, tenth and fourteenth places - goodenough to bring home the Junior Trophy.
This was the secondtime the Windermere pair had competed in the National finishing 20th attheir first attempt.
