BARROW-BORN Liam Livingstone and his team-mates have two games left to save their T20 Blast campaign.
Livingstone top scored for Lancashire Lightning with 31 and took two wickets in a dramatic last-ball tie with Derbyshire Falcons.
But the draw didn’t do either side any favours in their pursuit of a place in the T20 Blast quarter-finals.
And Lightning skipper Keaton Jennings admits it leaves them with a big task ahead.
Speaking to the BBC about his side’s form, he said: “It's been inconsistent at best.
“When you look at all three phases - bat, ball and field - I don't think we've been at our best.
“We haven't been able to put together 240 balls of good, competitive cricket consistently.
“We haven't quite been able to nail the entire game and close it out in a clinical old-school Lancashire fashion.”
With a Roses clash against Yorkshire on Friday and then Durham to finish on Sunday, both at Emirates Old Trafford, the Red Rose are in must-win territory.
“We are still in with a chance,” said Jennings. 2We do need results to go our way now but we need to make sure the next two games are wins and we get the best third place.”
