BARROW AFC manager Adam Murray felt his side could have come away from their latest pre-season clash with a couple of goals.
The Bluebirds drew 0-0 away to Radcliffe on Tuesday night, but Murray believes two efforts which were disallowed should have stood.
He told the club’s official website: “It was a real game of football. (Tuesday night) was very physical, and they gave us different challenges to what we’ve dealt with so far in pre-season.
“We spent a lot of time during the game with the ball, which gave us a clear indication of the areas we need to improve on.
“Our intensity and work rate were excellent throughout.
“We had two goals disallowed that, looking back at the footage, were perfectly OK.
“It was good to see a strong mentality and a willingness to keep pushing.
“Even in pre-season, we want the mentality of, ‘if we can’t win, we don’t get beat’.
“There were lots of things we were really pleased with and some good lessons learnt overall from the game.”
