KENDAL United claimed a 4-2 extra-time victory over Burneside in the Benevolent Trophy matches played at the weekend as the Westmorland League football resumed after the cold snap.

In other matches played, Carvetii United beat Coniston 6-3 in the High Sheriff's Cup, while Wetheriggs were pushed all the way to account for Penrith Rangers 4-3 on penalties in the same competition.
