SUBSTITUTE Nathan McNeill scored for Westmorland U18s in a 3-1 defeat gainst North Riding at Stokesley on Saturday.
North Riding went 2-0 up by half time before McNeill pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 78th minute after Max Shaw was fouled.
Westmorland kept looking to get back on terms and Shaws’s shot was well-saved before the North Riding keeper made a fine double save from Jordan Knowles.
In the Under-16s friendly at the same venue, Westmorland went down 3-2 with Sam Taylor and Darren Braithwaite on target.
