KIRKBY Lonsdale Rugby Union Club have a big day in the cup when they entertain Whitehaven, weather permitting, in the fourth round of the Powergen Vase on Saturday.
The match kicks off at Underley Park at 2pm.
Kendal RUFC are due to travel to Fylde for National League 3 North action on Saturday (2.15pm kick-off).
Kendal Town FC head for Worcester in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy on Saturday (3pm), while local football sees Ambleside hosts Coniston in the Senior Cup (1.30pm and Kendal County entertain Appleby in the High Sheriff's Cup (2pm).
Westmorland County FA (Kendal Town Reserves) take on Cumberland (Aspatria) at Parkside Road in the Nortnern Counties Competition (2pm) The Ravenstonedale 10k run takes place on Saturday, starting at 1pm from the Black Swan (register at 11.30am), and the Mid-Lancs Cross-Country meeting is at Sefton Park, Liverpool.
