Division 1:

Kendal County will be looking to pull 3 clear at the top when they travel to face 10th placed Greystoke this weekend. As Appleby have a free weekend and Ambleside are on cup duty, County know that a win will increase the pressure on the other title contenders. Wetheriggs United meanwhile will be looking to bounce back from their some would say shock home defeat by Appleby last weekend when they host struggling Burneside.

I see there being a lot of twists and turns in this division in the weeks to come.

Other fixtures:

Carvetti Utd vs Coniston

Ibis vs Keswick

Lunesdale vs Windermere SC

Division 2

The current leaders Kirkoswald are without a game this weekend leaving the door open for both Staveley and Shap to close the gap at the top. Staveley Utd have a tasty looking home match with Penrith Rangers. Penrith have 6 games in hand over the leaders and have 4 games in hand on Staveley.

This game could well be crucial for both teams come the end of the season as the winners of this match are sure to have the better chance of catching the leaders.

The other match sees Shap face a tricky home tie with Kendal Celtic. Celtic have a lot of potential in the team and this is sure to be a stiff test for the home side.

Other matches see Kendal County’s reserve team battle it out with Wetheriggs Utd’s reserve team and Windermere SC’s reserves at home to Sedbergh Wanderers reserves.

Division 3:

There’s only 1 match on in this division at the weekend as the other teams are on cup duty. The 1 league game that is on sees Burneside reserves at home to Lunesdale Utd’s reserve team.

However this division is mainly about the cup this particular weekend.

Division 4:

There’s a full league programme on in this division at the weekend. It’s the tightest division out of all of them with anyone of 5 teams in contention for the title. The round of fixtures this weekend could prove pivotel in the destination of the division 4 championship.

Current leaders Kirkby Thore are away to Coniston’s reserve team, giving them a great chance to extend the lead at the top as Coniston are struggling at the moment.

2nd place Langwathaby Utd face a tricky match away to Braithwaite who are 7th but have 4 games in hand on the teams above them. Whilst Kendal Celtics reserve team have a home match with Greystoke’s reserve team.

Endmoor KGR are away to the Dent reserve team, and will be looking to dispatch of Dent and put pressure on the top positions.

However the match of the division is 6th placed FC Milnthorpe at home to 5th placed Burneside. This is a must win game for Milnthorpe as a win would pull them into title contention.

Other matches:

Windermere SC A VS Staveley Utd’s Reserve teams.

That’s the full round up of the weekends action, check back on Monday to see how all the sides did. I won’t be covering a game this weekend however I will be at The Kendal Celtic vs Keswick reserve match on The 2nd of February.

Hope you enjoy your weekend.
