With the hope of better weather to come this weekend, you can look forward to a number of exciting matches in The Westmorland league and in the cup competitions.

Divisions 1 and 2 of The Westmorland are fairly quiet with teams in cup action. However theres a potentially exciting tussle which takes place in division 1 when leaders Wetheriggs are home to Ambleside, whom are the champions of the divison.

Meanhwile Kendal County will be looking to build on their invitation trophy success when they travel to play Coniston. County will be looking to make up some ground with Wetheriggs who have had a flying start to the season.

The Benevolant troph yis also set to kick off this weekend as Kendal Utd host Braithwaite in the 1st round whilst Kendal Celtic host Carvetti, at frenchfields (I think) Whilst Ibis host Shap.

These cup matches kick off at 2pm!

I am hoping to catch most of the 1st half between Kendal United and Braithwaite this weekend. Again it all hinges on the weather as i type this it's chucking it down so i would imagine tomorrows match is 50/50.

if it does go ahead i will give my thoughts on the bits of the game i see.

Also look forward to more match reports from Kendal Celtic who kindly send them too me which i keep posting online Hope you enjoy your weekend Richard
