Its been a while since i last did a grass roots blog, and in truth despite me not posting anything I have been going to alot of Kendal Utd and Kendal County matches.

The matches i have seen have been very entertaining and good too watch, Kendal County have had a dodgy season up to now, they are clearily not the same team that they used too be. Alot of the old guard left in the summer, leaving a new team with a new manager. And i just think that these changes have maybes affected how the team play. County did win the invitation trophy this season, but they are not the same threat that they have been in the past. That's not too say that they can't get back to their best, however they need this season to bed down and maybe next season they will make a charge.

Kendal Utd continue to play good football. they have been in some lively matches too say the least. They have been on the wrong end of some scores in recent weeks, despite all that they do play a style of football which is a credit too them especially at that level. The future is bright for them, they are all young lads who will grow into fine footballers.

Cup competitions: Due to all the postponements it was deemed by thr Westmorland League authorities too pull them out of most cup competitions just to avoid a huge fixture pile up. I think the right decision has been made their, the last thing they want is for fixtures to run into the cricket season etc.

Night matches on their way!

Its getting to that time of year when night matches will be taking place in the Westmorland League. I always like Monday and Tuesday night league matches. Their are some good matches as well such as Burneside vs Kendal County.

Anyhow thats the latest, i will post more on here as the season gets into the business end of the year
