Winderemere's junior squad entered the start of season Netherwood League tournament and faced up to Keswick, Ambleside and Ulverston.
The team came away with three respectable perform- ances with no goals but none conceded. The team fought hard and had some good attacking play from Vicky Bowe and Jess Taylor. India Wood played a vital role on the left wing both in attack and defence.
Rosie Holiday defended strongly defying the opposition from shots at goal. Windermere ladies have entered the Lancashire League for the 08/09 season as well as the local Netherwood League.
WHC are aways looking for new members (boys and girls from age 7 to 70!) and the first team are especially looking for a new goal keeper so please get in touch with Shona on 015394 44832 for details.
