RAMPANT Kendal raced in 12 tries without reply in this Miller Homes League Division One match.

Andrew Hudson was first, bustling over for a try converted by Andrew Boardley, who missed only four conversion attempts all afternoon.

Boardley was next, following after a clever inside ball by the forwards he darted under the cover defence.

Kendal were now playing the superb rugby they had threatened for weeks. The ball passed between forwards and backs to produce two tries for winger Bamber, with the lively Murray putting him in for one and unselfish Ashley the other Good forward play saw Hudson grab another try from close range. From the restart kick the forwards changed the angle of attack allowing Bowles to put on the after burners and leave all in is wake apart from the supporting Cartmel to score under the sticks making the score 38-0 at half-time.

The second half saw no let up, although Rochdale were still running ball back at Kendal and looking for points.

Next on the scoresheet was full-back Steve Moss, who beat two defenders en-route to the line Hudson crossed for his hat-trick try, showing great strength to take the score to 50-0. A towering kick from Hudson was then chased and caught, allowing the forwards to release Tomlinson to race 30 metres for a deserved try for the ever-improving lock Nicholson was carrying the ball superbly in the forwards, promptingCoulter and Boardley to release the backs time and again.

Bamber completed his hat-trick, again with a well-worked forward move finished by backs try.

The next try was all forward power with No. 8 Ross finally showing great ball control to dribble over the line The final score was by hard-working Ashley. After a neat reverse pass from Moss he raced clear to score in the corner.
