Kendal rugby club was witness to a successful day of oval-ball action as it hosted a girl's festival of rugby for the town's youngsters.
After four weeks of rain and two previously cancelled festivals, Under 13 girls from around Cumbria came to Kendal Rugby Club for an afternoons of rugby.
The fixture, originally planned for Keswick, was transferred after their pitches remained waterlogged from the recent rain fall which has hit the county.
Teams from across the county's rugby scene came and once again showed how the skills of the girls are increasing and that competitive games continue to be more engaging amongst all the girls.
And after a very even afternoon of rugby, the next festival will be held in Carlisle in a few weeks time.
If anybody is interested in playing girls rugby at Kendal, they train on Sunday mornings and are aged between 12 and 15 years old.
The club also have a talented senior ladies team, Kendal Waps, who play in a competitive woman’s division.
