New Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring Espanyol centre-back Hector Moreno to White Hart Lane next season, according to the Daily Mail.

Moreno, who is currently at the World Cup with Mexico, worked with Pochettino at Espanyol before the Argentine head coach was sacked by the La Liga outfit in 2012.

The 26-year-old had been tracked by Pochettino at former club Southampton but has also attracted the interest of Everton and Swansea City recently.

Brought to Espanyol from AZ Alkmaar in 2011, Moreno began his professional career in Mexico with Pumas before moving to the Netherlands in 2008.

The left-footer has won 55 full caps for Mexico and won the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
