THE painting of a swastika on the wall of Heaton Graveyard has been condemned.
The graffiti is thought to have been painted on Friday morning.
Margaret Gray, co-ordinator of the Heaton Graveyard Community Project, said: "It is a great pity the culprit/s have time and lack mentality to carry out these acts of vandalism when we are all living is a time of concern.
"I can't understand the reasoning behind a swastika. I thought we had gone beyond that by now."
She said the image, which was in white and reversed from the normal swastika, was reported to her by a dog walker.
A Bradford Council spokesperson said the Council's cleansing team would remove the graffiti as soon as possible when they are next on duty.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said officers in Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team were making enquiries.
