A PHOTOGRAPHY training company has won an award for the quality of its teaching.

Aspire, of Burton-in-Kendal, is officially the ‘best professional training provider’ in the UK for the second year in a row, according to judges at the Societies Photographic Convention.

“We’re absolutely over the moon,” said company spokeswoman Jen Heyworth.

“We’re thrilled. We were really hoping we would win.

“Everyone works really hard so it’s brilliant to be recognised.”

The company, which launched three years ago and has seven staff, won the award by an impressive 140 votes.

Voters included professional photographers, customers and other businesses in the industry.

The Dalton Hall business also beat off competition from 120 others to take the award for 'best trade stand'.
