EIGHTY three candidates are standing for 11 different political parties in the forthcoming European Parliamentary Elections.
Just eight candidates from the total list will be chosen to represent the North West when voting opens on May 22.
The full list of parties is as follows: An Independent From Europe Party, the British National Party, Conservative, English Democrats, Green Party, Labour Party, Liberal Democrats, No2EU, Pirate Party UK, Socialist Equality Party and the UK Independence Party.
Every party - apart from the Pirate Party UK - has put up eight candidates.
At the same time, electors in the South Lakeland District Council area will be choosing councillors in district, town and parish council elections.
Voters go to the polls on Thursday, May 22 for both elections.
South Lakeland local election results will be counted on Friday, May 23 and the North West European Parliamentary Elections count will take place on Sunday May 25, as polls close across Europe.

People will not be able to vote in either election unless they have ensured they are on the electoral register by Tuesday, May 6.
Anyone who is on the electoral register can choose to register to vote by post. Applications for a postal vote in the forthcoming elections must also be received by 5pm on Wednesday, May 7.
Anyone who is not registered can visit www.southlakeland.gov.uk to download a registration form, or visit www.aboutmyvote.co.uk, which is the Electoral Commission’s site for downloading forms.
