Man in desperate attempt to find missing dog

AN emotional dog-lover is making a desperate bid to find his beloved pet.

Tony Warrington, of Essex, is returning to Whernside Peak, Yorkshire, where his for year old Jack Russel and Pug cross, Pepper, went missing ten days ago.

"She's just disappeared off the planet," said Mr Warrington.

"My hope is that she's got stuck in a hole and after a few days lost enough weight to be able to wriggle back out.

"She could still be alive if she's found water."

The owner contacted every local pub, business and farmer in the hope somebody had rescued the brown coloured dog, who has never run away before.

An upset Mr Warrington admitted that he 'might accept defeat' if this weekend's search proves fruitless.

Anyone with any information should contact The Crown Hotel, Hawes, on 01969667212.
