WINDERMERE Lake Cruises is one of England’s top 10 ‘paid for’ visitor attractions, according to new figures released by VisitEngland.
It is one of only four attractions outside London to make the list, based on passenger numbers.
There were 1,411,995 journeys on the 16-strong fleet of ‘steamers’ and launches during 2013. The attraction is sixth on the list, behind the Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.
