POLICE want to speak to a man who struck a taxi meter in a dispute over the fare, causing criminal damage.

The man was one of four passengers in the Vauxhall Vectra taxi parked outside The Royal Hotel in Kirkby Lonsdale at 12.45am on August 24.

The group of two males and two females had been picked up from another hotel after attending a wedding reception.

The man police would like to speak to is described as around 38-years-old, 6ft4, of medium build with short ginger hair and a short stubbly beard, who spoke with a Liverpool accent.
