A MAN accused of threatening to burn down a woman's Kendal house will go on trial later this year.
A total of five charges were put to Jamie Lee Mark Thornborrow, 27, when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today.
Thornborrow entered not guilty pleas to all five of the counts he faces. These include an allegation that he threatened both to set fire to Hope Nicholson's home in the town, and to smash windows.
He is also alleged to have assaulted Miss Nicholson by beating, damaged a vehicle belonging to her and stolen a mobile phone.
Thornborrow further denied an allegation of putting Miss Nicholson in fear of violence by harassment.
All of the charges relate to alleged incidents in Kendal last month.
Thornborrow, of Sparrowmire Lane, Kendal, is due to go on trial at the crown court in the week of 19th December. In the meantime he was remanded in custody.
