JOHNSON MARY died peacefully in her sleep at Summerhill in her 98th year. Widow of Tom, mother to Marjorie, Kathleen and the late John, loving nan to Christine, Iain & Callum, Paul & Mark and Karen & Gary and a much loved great grandma. Heartfelt thanks to the staff on Grasmere Suite, Summerhill & Dr. Martin for their excellent care. Funeral Service to take place at Kendal Parish Church on Monday 10th August at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Sight Advice South Lakes c/o Hayes & Parkinson Ltd.,

Mary Johnson was my Grandmother, my friend, my confidante and instrumental in teaching me many things primarily to be kind and treat everyone that you meet with respect, to share even when you didn't have enough for yourself and not least how to bake her multi award winning Blue Ribbon apple pies. She was a delight to be around and never had a cruel word to say about anyone. She loved my Grandfather Tom who sadly passed away from cancer in 1981 but she filled her days bring joy to others, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with her wonderful sense of humour,fun and love of gardening. '

We will all sadly miss you but we take comfort in the fact that at last your tears have stopped falling because after almost 35 tears your are finally reunited with your beloved Tom for all eternity.

Dear Great Grandma Kendal,

we will miss all of the great times that we had playing with you and all of the fun we used to have when the whole family got together to bake in your kitchan. I really love yoou and I winlt forget you. My mom still makes a lot of the baked goods that we used to make together and it often reminds me of you and the good times that we had,

I love you Grandma and don't worry we will see each other again one day in heaven,

Dear Grandma you and Granddad truly were the people who lit up my life and taught me many valuable lessons and imparted in me a sense of duty to care for others. You will be truly missed and always remembered.
