Whilst I agree with more council housing, I do remember the days of big council estates where the tenants took their houses for granted and failed to look after them, and many estates fell into a state of disprepair and neglect. Much of that has gone now, with the 'right to buy', but I think we need to strike a balance.  − KendalSmithy
