SETTLE singer John Newman has announced a Yorkshire Forest Live date for 2016 as part of the annual summer concert series organised by the Forestry Commission.

Born and raised in North Yorkshire and a student of Leeds College of Music, John Newman first came to attention through his work with Rudimental producing the No 1 single ‘Feel The Love’.

A No 1 platinum selling debut album ‘Tribute’ soon followed which included singles ‘Cheating’, ‘Losing Sleep’ and the gargantuan hit ‘Love Me Again’.

A further collaboration with Calvin Harris generated the hit single ‘Blame.’

Newman’s sophomore album ‘Revolve’ includes lead single ‘Come and Get It’ and coincides with the release of ‘Revolve: The Book’, which documents the creative process behind the album and past hits.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife.

Commenting on the show, John said, “I’ve heard a lot about the famous Dalby Forest gigs and I am extremely pleased to be playing there as it will be a home county gig for me.”

Tickets available from the Forestry Commission box office 03000 680400 or online at forestry.gov.uk/music.
