THE latest addition to Kendal Calling is Luna 9 – a 360° hemispherical dome which acts as a projection screen, creating extraordinary multi-dimensional illusions.
Luna 9 will be host to an array of events including a daytime programme of short planetarium films, chillout and ambient sounds and a guided tour of the universe.
There will also be playbacks including an immersive presentation of the classic Pink Floyd album ‘Dark Side of the Moon’.
DJ Food has specially designed a full dome show of his new album ‘Search Engine’, along with special audio visual sets from DJ Cheeba and legendary illustrator Pete Fowlers.
MORE TOP STORIES:
Friday will see the lift off for a Cosmic Disco, laying down interstellar funk, boogie and 80s jams.
Saturday will put revellers in orbit for a Supercluster Space Rave with enough acid house and techno to send any star into supernova.
Finally on Sunday evening it will put them into re-entry with Via Domus (Latin reference meaning ‘the way home’) where house beats will be supplied for the journey back to earth.
Each night will be combined with 360° visuals created by Recursive Function Immersive Domes (RFID).
Kendal Calling takes place at Lowther Deer Park from August 1-3.
