I have only ever been to see one stand-up comedian and that was Michael McIntyre, so Jason Manford had tough competiton in my eyes.
However, during his work-in-progress show at the Brewery Arts Centre I was pretty much in constant fits of giggles, and thought that he was hilarious.
He started with a Kendal Mint Cake joke and digs about our local sweet treat ran all the way through, which was just one of the ways the comedian made it personal to the area.
The atmosphere was fantastic as there was lots of audience participation, but in a side-splitting rather than bullying way.
Jason will be making a reappearance in Kendal on April 11 of next year, this time at Lakes Leisure Centre. Visit www.breweryarts.co.uk from June 6 when tickets go on sale.
