FOLLOWING the release of their self-titled album in June, up-and-coming Manchester jazz quartet Mercury are coming to Zeffirellis, Ambleside, on November 23 as part of a nationwide tour.
After just a few club gigs the foursome’s rapid rise saw them invited to play at Manchester Jazz festival, where representatives from the notorious London jazz venue King’s Place were waiting backstage to book them after the set.
With all members bringing a different range of influences, elements of pop, grunge and dubstep make sure Mercury’s tracks remain versatile while maintaining a solid jazz foundation.
