A NEW CD put together by Kendal newcomers Big Green Blue has got of to a flying start, selling 100 copies in advance of its release.
The group - Michael Denny, bass and vocals; Ben Checkley, guitars; Simon Denny on drums; and featuring Fiona Simpson on backing vocals and violin - cut their teeth performing at jam nights at Dickie Doodles and had their first lucky break when they were invited to play a support slot for home-coming of indie/rock kings British Sea Power.
Big Green Blue are still at school but have managed to master an impressive array of cover tracks as well as writing and recording 11 original tracks from the upbeat It Reminds Me of When to their contemplative acoustic track Falling Down.
