One of the UK’s most innovative dance companies brings its unique adaptation of two classic fairy tales to Kendal’s Brewery Arts Centre on Thursday, May 17 (7.30pm).

Renowned for pushing at the boundaries of classical ballet with its explosive style of physical theatre, Ballet Cymru has produced edgy interpretations of Little Red Hiding Hood and the Three Little Pigs, which appeared in Roald Dahl’s popular children’s classic Revolting Rhymes.

Both works are based on the internationally recognised musical scores by composer Paul Patterson which feature the voices of renowned actors such as Sir Ian Holm, Julie Walters and Danny DeVito. Brewery dance development officer Helen Moffitt explained: “With stunning costumes, breathtaking choreography and laugh-out-loud humour, this promises to be a fantastic evening of classical dance for lovers of ballet and original storytelling.”
