A RUNNER had to be helped down from the fells this weekend after sustaining an ankle injury.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue team were called to help evacuate the athlete from Sunday’s Helvellyn Trail Run, between Howtown and Glenridding.
The Team used a boat to bring the casualty back to Glenridding.
