AN EDEN man is in a serious condition after he was 'crushed by a cow' this lunchtime at a Cumbrian auction mart.

The 46-year-old from Kings Meaburn suffered abdominal injuries in the incident at Penrith Auction Mart at about 12.30pm today (Monday).

After being treated at the scene by doctors and paramedics, he was flown to Cumberland Infirmary by the Great North Air Ambulance's Pride of Cumbria.
