GOING to the loo is proving to be a costly experience in Cumbria, north Lancashire, North Yorkshire, according to a new survey.
Mobile phones, money and even false teeth have caused 28,000 blockages and cost £13 million to clear in the North West over the past year, says United Utilities.
The utilities company, which also supplies water to people across the three counties, has launched its own Think Before You Flush campaign.
