Santa's sleigh tours Kendal as Lions Club's annual festivities returns

EXCITED children are already anticipating the arrival of Santa as he makes his annual tour of Kendal.

The Kendal and District Lions Club began escorting Father Christmas on his sleigh yesterday on Burneside Road and Briery Meadow.

The tour itinerary is as follows: December 13, Kendal Parks from 6pm; December 14, Oxenholme and the Oaks from 6pm; December 15, Wattsfield and Collinfield from 6pm; December 16, Asda from 2pm to 4pm; December 16, Parkside Road and Castle Estate from 5pm; December 17, Sandylands from 6pm; December 18, Burneside from 6pm; December 19, Asda from 6pm to 8pm; December 20, Kirkbarrow from 6pm; December 21, Valley Drive from 6pm; December 22, Rinkfield and Heron Hill from 5pm; December 23, Vicarage Park and Underwood from 5pm; December 24, Asda from 2pm to 4pm.

The Lions will be supported by other charity groups, including Derian House, the Boys’ Brigade, the Lads and Girls’ Club, 1st Holme Scouts; Sandgate Hydrotherapy Pool, Sandylands Methodist Church, the King’s Food Bank, Kirkbarrow Residents’ Association, Kendal Air Cadets.
