7:33pm Saturday 16th February 2013 in News
A WOMAN was flown off a Yorkshire Dales fell after breaking her wrist while walking.
The 58-year-old slipped on snow on the summit of Pen-y-ghent shortly before 2.45pm today.
Clapham-based voluntary group the Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) attended and provided treatment and shelter until an air ambulance arrived.
She was assisted a short distance to the helicopter for transport off the hill before being transferred to a road ambulance in Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
It was the fourth call-out for the CRO this year.
