A BURST pipe in the Furness area left 200 householders with low water pressure and some residents without water for seven hours.
United Utilities confirmed the fault this morning after people in Ulverston and Finsthwaite began reporting they had little or no water pressure in their homes at 9.25am. A spokesman for the company said: “Customers reported low pressure from their taps this morning, with some suffering from no water at all. Engineers began working on the fault at 12.13pm.”
Just after 4pm, engineers fixed the fault but remain on site until water is restored to all residents.
