ONE of the UK’s leading advocates of the importance of manufacturing will be the speaker at the annual Furness Enterprise open meeting on December 3.
Terry Scuoler, chief executive of the manufacturers’ organisation EEF will explain how manufacturing makes a huge contribution to the economy – one that tends to get overlooked in the concentration of interest in the service industry.
Furness, with a concentration of advanced manufacturing companies, is seen as an ideal platform for Mr Scuoler’s views.
