BOSSES from Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, at Hale near Milnthorpe, are heading to Madagascar to find out more about the animals they care for.
Jo and Dave Marsden want to discover all they can about the fossas, cat-like mammals, which are in danger of extinction.
Mr Marsden said: “We want to do some fact-finding. Our pair of fossas have bred twice, they're part of a breeding programme that could be used in future to reintroduce fossas to the wild.”
