BAY Search and Rescue say they are ready for winter in the event of heavy snow or flooding.
The volunteer local charity supports the emergency services in times of adverse weather in the area.
Its work has helped agencies like the police, fire, ambulance and mountain rescuers.
More commonly associated with rescues in Morecambe Bay, BSART also carries out vital inland work.
In March this year, it provided round-the-clock support during the heavy snows which cut off remote areas of west Cumbria.
Mike Davis, of the team, said: "Please use your emergency services sensibly this winter, and we will support them and you when ever and where ever we can."
