MEMBERS of Kendal Mountain Rescue Team visited Levens Primary School to help infant school pupils with a ‘People who help us’ topic they are working on.
Headteacher Matt Foxwell said: “We want our pupils to learn about staying safe in the mountains, as well as learn about the hard work done by the volunteers in the rescue team.
The pupils went through the contents of a rucksack, looked in the Rescue Land Rovers and learned how to put the stretcher together, as well as learning about the work of the search dogs.”
